Nichelle Hilton

Nichelle has spent 25 years working in nonprofits serving children — from Project Cuddle and the Ronald McDonald House to leading a food bank for 13 years before founding Backpack Brigade. Moved by the documentary A Place at the Table, she felt called to act. What began as a small group of volunteers delivering eight bags to a local school has grown into thousands of bags reaching hundreds of schools across King County. Outside of work, Nichelle is an animal lover, leads an academic Jane Austen book club, and lives on a farm with her family.
