Turkey Waddle 2026

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for a delightful event hosted by Backpack Brigade—the inaugural Turkey Waddle!

This festive 1K tour will take place in the scenic Robinswood Community Park on Saturday, Nov. 28th. A wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of the season while enjoying the great outdoors with friends, family, and the community.

The Turkey Waddle is designed to be a fun-filled experience for participants of all ages. As you embark on this leisurely 1K journey, you will encounter five strategically placed fuel stops along the route, each offering a variety of delicious treats and refreshments to keep your energy levels high. These stops will feature a selection of seasonal snacks and beverages that are sure to delight your taste buds and keep you motivated as you waddle through the park.

For our younger participants, the real race is the Kids Dash, a short burst race for kids 7-12. For littles with more energy, they can get their wiggles out in the bouncy house! Additionally, we will be hosting a Pup Strut Costume Contest, where furry friends can show off their most creative and festive costumes. We encourage all pet owners to dress up their beloved companions in holiday-themed outfits, as there will be prizes for the best-dressed pups. It's a wonderful way to include our four-legged family members in the celebration and add an extra layer of joy to the event.

To enhance the festive experience, we will also feature a Mocktail Garden, where attendees can relax and enjoy an array of refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. This area will provide a perfect place to socialize with fellow participants while sipping on delicious concoctions that embody the flavors of the season.

We have planned many more surprises and activities to make this event truly special, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are an avid runner, a casual walker, or simply someone looking to partake in a community gathering, the Turkey Waddle is an event not to be missed!

PS: Our founder might even dress up as a turkey, adding a whimsical touch to the festivities.
